A lovely vintage pair of gold-tone screw back earrings are presented for your consideration. Back in style again, beautiful textured gold-tone classic design round earrings that are just perfect for adding the glamorous finishing touch to the outfit of your choice. These are surely one-of-a-kind and are certain to get lots of attention and look like the real things. They measure approximately 1/2 inches in diameter, signed RG on the screws backs that -means "rolled gold". This is a gold sheet (usually 12K or 14K) that is rolled into a tube, and then filled with a base (non-precious) metal such as brass. This process gives a longer-lasting gold colour than normal gold plating and is often stamped on jewellery "RG". The earrings come in excellent vintage condition have very little evidence of handling, the earrings from The First Half of the 20th Century. We do not normally clean many of our vintage items as most antique jewellery collectors and enthusiasts prefer that they are kept with the integrity of the piece and patina that occurs naturally over time. This particular piece was gently cleaned with a soft cloth. No harsh chemicals were used to clean this piece.
