Vintage Pearl Butterscotch intaglio pendant Necklace by Extasia Jewellery

We present to you a beautiful mix of freshwater pearls, yellow citrine Czech glass multi-strand necklace with a large round intaglio, set in Victoriana casting. Made by Extasia Jewellery company.
Large Butterscotch hand-pressed German glass intaglio pendant hangs from the longest strand of citrine Czech glass. The large round intaglio pendant is 1 3/8 inches in diameter. Classic style metal frame surrounds the glass intaglio and has a rope pattern on its sides which is decorated with seed pearls at the bottom. The longest strand is made of citrine Czech glass interspersed with peach colour freshwater pearls and measures 20". The middle strand is designed with perfectly shaped chocolate colour freshwater pearls and measures 16". The shortest chain is made of bronze and measures 15". The entire necklace measures 20 inches including a 2" extender and a lobster clasp. The necklace has three Extasia hallmarks one on the back of the pendant, on the lily-shaped pendant holder and on the metal tag-link. Hand made to order in the USA.

In 1991, Extasia sprang out of the creative genius of its founder, Stefanie Freydont. Extasia is a company of American artisans, committed to re-inventing Victorian Jewelry for Contemporary Fashion. Their hand-pressed glass intaglios are made in a small Bavarian village using original steel molds and techniques unchanged from the 1800s. They use hand-carved Italian shell cameos, hand-pressed German glass intaglios, jet, vintage glass, and semi-precious gem materials, combined with the gold plated, bronze and sterling silver settings they design and manufacture, in northern California.

The beautiful and distinctive Extasia jewellery you may have seen in Vogue, Elle, Glamour, and Lucky magazines, is available at some of the finest stores around the world: Harrods and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Anthropologie, the Fine Art Museum in Boston, Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia, and over 600 boutiques, specialty shops and catalogues in the United States, Europe, Japan, and Australia.

You have the opportunity to make this vintage treasure yours.
Unless the item is listed as a 'new' item, evidence of normal age/use should be expected. The photos on our listings are never stock photos as we take all of our own photos, so what you see is what you get. Please look over your desired item closely before purchasing.
Now, we mostly sell vintage jewellery and "new old stock" that has never been worn, that come out of various estates. This means that it has been pre-owned. That means that it could have some light wear, and possibly some tarnish. IF there are any flaws, such as missing stones, or damaged stones, we will definitely make that clear in the listing description. We just need our customers to understand that we generally do not sell brand new items.
Our shop has a good working knowledge of vintage jewellery, as most of what we sell has been pre-owned and will thus have some form of wear. Please use common sense when bidding. We cannot possibly cover every detail in a listing, and will thus describe the listings as best as we can. For example, shades of blue are subjective and so are concepts of what looks "too good" to be vintage, or what is "too worn" to be acceptable to a collector, as everyone has their own tastes.
If you have specific needs, do your part, and contact me.
We do not normally clean many of our vintage items as most antique jewellery collectors and enthusiasts prefer that they are kept with the integrity of the piece and patina that occurs naturally over time. This particular piece was gently cleaned with a soft cloth. No harsh chemicals were used to clean this piece.
