Lovely Art Deco Crystal Necklace signed Berlin


A gorgeous crystal necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Art Deco represents the style of the decorative arts popular between the two wars. The style was huge in the 1920s and produced glamorous, colourful jewellery pieces that encapsulated the famously flamboyant period. This elegant necklace is comprised of square-cut faceted crystals that connect with a flowing chain. The centrepiece has a design featuring the crystals that interconnected in the form of a triangle and end with a teardrop sparkling like a diamond. It measures about 2" long and across.
Each crystal is faceted on both sides, which intensifies the light-reflecting quality for an incredible sparkling effect! The crystals are contained within open German silver bezels with hidden prongs on the back, allowing the light to pass through on both sides. This lovely necklace measures 16" long. The necklace does have a spring-ring clasp. This clasp is stamped "Berlin". A simply stunning piece, it has a very feminine look that merges seamlessly between day and night. It would make a fabulous addition to any jewellery collection!
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to any of the crystals, and the clasp is secure and in good working condition.

We do not normally clean many of our vintage items as most antique jewellery collectors and enthusiasts prefer that they are kept with the integrity of the piece and patina that occurs naturally over time. This particular piece was gently cleaned with a soft cloth. No harsh chemicals were used to clean this piece.
